Voice of the Voiceless Launches Petition to Condemn the Bullying of Bronx, NY High School, Courage, and Fr. Timone by Gay Activists

Spellman-alumni

Cardinal Spellman high school alumni and Draq Queen “Coco Peru” protested the invitation to Courage’s Fr. Timone by hurling obscenities at his former school during a recent drag performance of “Feeling Good”

Gay activists are champions of tolerance and anti-bullying, that is, until someone disagrees with their opinion. In that case, it’s hate speech and should not be tolerated!

That’s exactly what is happening in Bronx, New York at Cardinal Spellman High School, where on Monday night the Catholic school announced that an address by retired priest Fr. Donald G. Timone from the New York Archdiocese on the issue of same-sex attraction, set for Tuesday, had been postponed.

Fr. Donald G. Timone has been involved with Courage − a 33 year-old Catholic support group that encourages men and women with same-sex attractions to live chaste lives − for many years. But gay activists don’t like the Catholic church’s position on homosexuality, so they began doing what they do best . . . bullying the school’s principal and administration for daring to host a priest that has stayed true to the church’s position on sexuality!

The school’s principal, Fr. Trevor Nicholls, said that the talk would not be for students, but parents only, and urged against any premature judgments. In a statement on the school’s website, Nicholls said:

Part of our outreach is to the parents of our students, whose education and overall welfare is our number one priority. The talk to be given by Fr. Donald Timone is to be addressed to the parents NOT to the Students. Parents are the first educators of their children and our aim is to provide them from time to time with the opportunity to listen to speakers who, in one area or another, may be able to offer them information, guidance and support as they fulfill that role. Fr. Timone is a priest ordained well over fifty years, now retired, who spent most of his priestly ministry in Catholic education at both High School and College level. His work with adolescents and young adults has brought blessings to many lives since his approach, like that of the COURAGE organization, is spiritual, supportive and affirming. I know that any parents who may attend the meeting on Tuesday evening will find his presentation of great benefit.

It seems reasonable that a CATHOLIC school educate its students on homosexuality from a perspective that is grounded in CATHOLIC theology, right? But apparently, the education on the issue of homosexuality being delivered from CATHOLIC parents from a CATHOLIC school to their CATHOLIC children is unacceptable for some of the school’s gay activist alumni, including transgender activist “Miss Coco Peru” (aka Clinton Leupp). Coco, who graduated from Spellman in 1983, has performed in cabaret shows in drag for more than 20 years.

According to an article from the New York Daily News, Coco, who is now Episcopalian, “protested the talk the best way he knows — through a performance of Nina Simone’s ‘Feeling Good’ wearing his red wig and a tight black dress, hurling obscenities at his former school.”

In protest, several gay activists in the community also threatened to hold a candlelight vigil across the street from the school and told various media outlets that having Fr. Timone speak would send an “alienating message to young people, particularly those in the process of self-discovery or those with a gay relative” and that they simply wanted to open up a dialogue with the Catholic school.

Of course, we know “dialogue” is really code for: “Let’s discuss how hateful your religious views are, and how you need to change them in order to be more tolerant.”

After the bullying by Coco and the gay activists, an effort called, “Gay? Fine by Me,” began on Facebook, and an online petition calling for the talk to be canceled, and for the conversation to be redirected toward one of “support and inclusion,” had more than 200 signatures by Monday afternoon.

Click here to sign this petition and tell Cardinal Spellman High School, Fr. Trevor Nicholls, and the Board of Trustees to stand strong against the bullying from these gay activists and that respected priests such Fr. Timone, not drag queens like Coco Peru, should be educating the parents of Catholic children on homosexuality.

NALT Project is the New Headless Horseman

After weeks and weeks of video diaries galloping across the internet by gay affirmation proponents who insist they’re different than most other Christians, the religious flavored protest group “Not All Like That” (NALT), still has an insurmountable problem: its headless. That’s frightful imagery but nonetheless true. Since its never easy to talk about the gritty machinations of false religious movements, brace yourself. As a minister and pastor for some 22 years now, I’m obligated by the integrity of my profession to give it to you straight.

The co-founders of NALT are 98% of the reason it already reeks like rotting flesh. Permit me a brief moment to introduce them.

bsen-shore

John Shore and Wayne Besen, Co-Founders of NALT

NALT was hatched by notorious exgay witch hunter Wayne Besen. Besen appears to be expanding his hate franchise with solicited religious progay testimonies. Consequently, NALT’s frame was patterned after another internet video diary model called “It gets better”. Besen is Jewish and has only limited third party knowledge of [real] Christianity.

The other founding collaborator of NALT is liberal theologian, John Shore. Shore and his wife, Catherine, believe God must be “irrational, unbiblical, unfair, and un-Christian” because the Bible condemns homosexual practice. It’s this bizarre religious platform that has attracted the like-minded moths to the flame. Shore envisions himself as a crusader for fairness. He must dutifully clean up the mess God has made. This notion of “rescuing Christianity” from the boogeyman fundamentalists amps up the sword weilding causes of people like Shore. Ergo, like some medieval henchman, Besen was a good fit for him.

NALT’s official narrative/parrotive is “Christians proclaiming their belief in full LGBT equality”. Shore claims the purpose of The NALT Christians Project is to give LGBT-affirming Christians a platform to share the belief that there’s nothing wrong with two men having sex with each other. Or two women. Or any of the other emerging variations of new sexual “orientations” that they keep inventing. All in childish error I might add. Its just all about love. Making it “all about love” is a very convenient tool for LGBT affirmers. It allows them to handily dismiss pesky biblical admonitions about sexual purity, moral requirements, obedience to Christ and fidelity to truth as outdated legalism.

Which brings us to the headlessness. The scriptures are very clear as to who’s the head of the church.

“He [Christ] is also head of the body, the church; and He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that He Himself will come to have first place in everything.” (Colossians 1:18)

So how do Christians who claim to be speaking for Christ, allow someone who denies Christ is the head of the church (or the Messiah for that matter) to lead them? How do you ignore such a foundational tenet of Christian doctrine unless of course, you’re only a holiday and special occasion Christian? Instead of helping homosexuals, NALT actually leads them down a murky path where they too could lose their heads…and their souls.

When people who externally identify as Christian advocate such foreign concepts, it only proves the prophetic ticking of the clock is right on time. Its nothing to be alarmed about, unless you’ve been hidden away in the type of liberal church that treats large sections of the bible like a black conservative at an NAACP meeting. Don’t be alarmed, as we have been forewarned that such times –and people– would make their appearance.

“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” (2 Tim 4:3-4)

And that’s really what NALT is peddling. Cute fables and clever ditties that satisfy the itching ears of those who don’t recognize Christ as head. The lust to justify the unjustifiable has repositioned people like John and Catherine Shore to be played like pawns on a board game.

Even the anti-theists (Besen’s core constituency) rebuffed NALT’s efforts. They are still extremely hostile to the whole gay affirming Christian thing.

NALT’s collaborators are finding out that trying to sell extra sweet gay affirming religion to its atheist foot soldiers is a steep climb. The videos were initially met with cold silence which gave way to fits of virulent anti-religion, anti-Christian bigotry.

We should give NALT credit for wanting to reassure some people that Christians are not against them per se. But NALT applies a scorched earth policy to such a noble concept: indiscriminately damning God, his truth and most importantly all the rest of us who believe that our Father didn’t make a mistake when he created the complimentary expression of male and female sexuality. Without God’s divine headship, homosexuality in man is like a ship without a sail, drifting aimlessly out into open waters and dangerous storms. It’s like a body without a head. That’s why there’s really nothing special about NALT. It’s just another sad reminder that the mutating contemporary church is still drifting away from God who tells us neither He nor His word will ever change or pass away. We must love the Nalties, but long after they are dead and forgotten, the truth will remain alive and vibrant. (Malachi 3:6, Luke 21:33, Isaiah 40:8)

Voice of the Voiceless Needs YOUR Voice!

“I was raped by my best friend when I was 13.”
Yes America, things like this really do happen to our children. Male adolescents and teenagers actually suffer these life-altering experiences by same-sex friends or perpetrators.

This year in my Los Angeles office, one of my clients, Gregory, revealed the details of this rape when he was 13. You might imagine the horror of this experience, as anyone would. However, it was also very troubling to this young man that even though he had never felt homosexual experiences at any time before this incident, because his sexual abuse involved the stimulation of his erogenous zones, he began to feel homosexual feelings in later years as a direct result of the rape. What should be obvious to even the most callous of people is the fact that this young man needed help with his sexual abuse issues, including help to reduce or eliminate the homosexual feelings that were a consequence of the rape.

You see, the powerful legislators in these states, in order to “protect” minors from “gay conversion therapies,” have begun to pass laws that make it illegal for a child to receive therapeutic assistance to “reduce or eliminate” homosexual feelings (California SB1172, 2013) regardless of the circumstances.

Diverse Group of Teenagers

Gay activists have already taken away the rights of teenagers in California and New Jersey to receive help for unwanted same-sex attractions

Even though there has not been one complaint filed with the various boards of psychology in these states that claim harm has been experienced through these therapies, the legislatures have pushed these laws through their committees.

Even though the American Psychological Association’s 2009 Task Force Report on these therapies states in their findings that there is no proof of harm, (APA Report, p. 82-83), these states are forcing these laws upon the people in their states no matter the consequences. In attempting to help one group of children these legislators have ensured that great, irreparable harm will come to another group of children.

Now you know only one reason why Voice of the Voiceless has been established and is already making such a profound impact on our society.

Now you know only one reason why this country must have professionals, politicians and laypersons speak up and take action to protect the rights of ex-gays.

We are here to protect the rights of all persons to receive the assistance they need to leave homosexuality. Don’t forget, these are people who truly believe that homosexuality for them does not represent their authentic identity, but instead has a cause and effect nature.

These folks need your help. VOV needs your time and donations to further this cause. Click here to make a generous donation of $25, $50, $100 or more!

You are witnessing large groups of political, professional, and religious people who will stop at nothing to force the gay agenda onto anyone no matter whose rights they violate or who they harm.  Won’t you help them and help us? Write to us. E-mail us. We can tell you exactly how to be a part of this growing movement, and we need your help today!
