Demand Equal Protection Under the Law for Former Homosexuals
“For too long gay activists have silenced us, marginalized our voices, and cut us out of the conversation. While they preach tolerance for gays, they routinely practice discrimination towards former homosexuals like myself who have taken a different path,” commented Dr. McIntyre, a former homosexual and Co-Founder of the oldest and longest running ministry that helps individuals with unwanted same-sex attraction leave homosexuality, Homosexuals Anonymous.
In response to anti-ex-gay extremism and bullying from gay activists who say only one viewpoint on homosexuality can be tolerated, Dr. McIntyre is calling all former homosexuals, individuals with unwanted same-sex attractions, and their families, friends, and allies to join him as he lobbies Congress on July 31 to demand tolerance and protection from the threats and harassment that is being waged against former homosexuals.
McIntyre is also demanding that gay activists STOP targeting children, including his four grand children, who are now being inundated by ‘kids cartoons’ such as SheZow, the new cartoon that is being promoted by the activists who say that being transgender is cool, but counseling to overcome same-sex attractions and/or changing sexual orientations is harmful.
“Following our day of lobbying, we’ll meet in front of the Supreme Court of the United States and let Justice Kennedy know that gays and lesbians are not the only sexual orientation class that has had to face animus in this country, as he opined in his decision on the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) case last month. Ex-gays routinely face harassment, bullying, threats, and intimidation from anti-ex-gay extremists, and are frequently marginalized and discriminated in the media, who portrays only stereotypes and characterizes us as repressed, ticking time-bombs, such was shown in CBS’ recent show ‘Criminal Minds’ that was aired in February 2013.”
“On July 31, Congress will hear our voices. The Supreme Court will hear our voices. America will hear our voices.”
- Media oversight and accountability to protect children from age inappropriate entertainment such as “SheZow” that violates their innocence;
- Freedom of choice for youth to pursue counseling to overcome SSA;
- Inclusion of former homosexuals under federal hate crimes law.
